Wasnt too impressed. Prefer the palos location, way better. Sent husband to get me a chicken ceasar salad and instead i got a side salad with over cooked chicken. Sticking with the palos.location.

I was in the area for a work event and I was hungry and in a hurry (two of my least favorite states). I saw a sign for Pops and thought, "Mm. Probably sub par suburban greasy fast food." Boy, was I wrong! And later I learned that Pops exists in multiple locations. Hooray! Great service from the moment I walked in. I got an Italian beef sandwich with sweet peppers added. Great choice. Tons of meat and the meat was good. I am in this area frequently and I will definitely stop by again in the future!

Great Italian Beef! For my money it's every bit as good as Portillo's and a bit cheaper. Seemed like the sandwiches had a bit more beef, too. I had the regular beef with sweet peppers and a side of fries. They use a unique giardinera here--seemed to be either shaved bell peppers with a lot of red-pepper flakes, or maybe shaved serranos or bright-green jalapenos--either way it was very spicy--much more so than the pickled giardenera at Portillo's. Would definitely recommend this place!

Great little place. Clean and friendly environment. I would just say to those behind the counter be more enthusiastic when someone asks what's good here. It probably doesn't happen often, I don't know but it's always a good business practice especially with such a variety of great food.

Good food! Clean restaurant! First time visit and I will be back. The good thing about this location, there is a seating area to eat your food.

As I get older, I try to eat less meat. That being said, I was craving a good beef sandwich. So I popped into this location. I ordered a beef with red sauce and hot peppers. It was awesome. I absolutely love pops home made hot peppers. I also ordered a hotdog. Really good. The place is clean and the service was fast.

I caved and got an italian beef. So what? it sounded good and the staff was really nice about. Asked me if I wanted hot peppers. No. I asked for it really dry, none of that weird dipping stuff for me...I like my clothes. Fries were really generous and the music was pretty good. Sat in the peace and quiet of a huge empty restaurant in the middle of the day and enjoyed my amazing beef!!

I'm changing my review to 5 stars. I don't give out too many of those either. The hot dogs are the best I can find anywhere - even downtown Chicago. I still wish they had poppy seed buns, but aside from that, the hot dogs are great! Here's a tip - order your hot dog "Chicago Style". You would think it comes like that automatically but it doesn't.

The food is always consistently good. The prices are decent. So, why am I writing a 2 star review? Rude service. Every Monday a few friends and I get together. Due to our work schedules we are not able to get there hours before close. The last two times we've arrived at 8:40PM. They close at 9:00PM. Every time I am greeted with attitude. I just asked for a second to look at the menu and the guy gave me annoyed look and smacked the counter and walked away. Even the manager of the place acts like a we're inconveniencing her just by giving them business 20 minutes before close. C'mon people.. I've worked retail to before. If you close at nine, don't expect the last half hour to be dead as a door nail. Maybe you should be happy that your getting business while many other places have had to close down.

I think this is the best beef in the suburbs. Even the bun was nice and soft. I always go here when I'm back in town. I think the beef is way better than Portillo's. Based on other reviews, I'm excited to try the gyro.

The beef sandwich was delicious and the fries were perfectly crunchy with the right amount of salt. I would definitely eat here again. I will try the gyro next time! Seemed to be a popular item being ordered while I waited for my food.

When I placed a catering order, the worker had me pay upfront. When I went to pick the order up two days later, a 16yr old worker BERATED me in front of a packed Saturday lunch hour accusing me of lying and not paying. She yelled, rolled her eyes, and turned around to talk about me to the kitchen staff. When the manager confirmed I did, in fact, already pay for my order, I did not even receive the slightest apology from either. Go to the location on 159th.

I've been converted. I'm here at least once a week. Love the fries. Love the gyros. Strawberry shake good too.

This location opened up at the begining of summer and is still as clean as a bell. The gyros was the special so that is what I had. But I did notice that the spit was not spinning? And the place was empty at 12 on a Saturday? I get the sandwich and I could tell that the meat had been fried on the grill? A lot of places do that now if they are not busy! But that is why you have the spit spinning around the heat coils. To make it brown! It wasn't anything to write home about. But the fries were good. And again it was clean. Not the greatest location, but I'm sure the name will draw a crowd.

Very good burgers!!! I have a friend that always brags that this place has the best burger, at first I wasn't a believer but now I am. My favorite spot for burgers is Red Robin, but my last couple of visits were lacking so they have moved further down on my list. Anyway, my friend brings me a bacon cheese burger with everything. The thing that really got me was that the meat was juicy and seasoned well. This was not a dry burger in the least. The fries were ok, nothing to brag about. Haven't tried anything else yet, but i'm looking forward to it.

You can never go wrong with Pops. Their Italian beef and Gyros are top notch. I specifically love their hot peppers that they put o the beef sandwiches. Always delicious.

Took a chance on this place just because they are sort of the new guy in the neighborhood. I know that they have other locations in Palos and Orland... Ordered a burger and some fried mushrooms. Burger was average to blah. 6 Mushrooms in the bag (costs like 2.50)! I definitely will not be going back. I'll drive the extra mile and a half to Mickey's.
